ART JOURNAL ASSIGNMENTS – Worth 0 to 3 points each. 8 times submitted. (24 points total)

You will keep a journal with images, with specific entry assignments per week

  • assigned online sites summaries
  • artwork, notes
  • personal art ideas, application, reflection
  • art teaching ideas
  • collaboration ideas by department and subject
  • technology
  • Journal assignments will usually be due before the start of class on 1st and 3rd Monday of each month
  • These can be e-mailed on MONDAY MORNING prior to class or turned in during class
  • NO WORK ACCEPTED AFTER THE EVENING CLASS
  • It will be evaluated and returned to you on the following Monday via e-mail or in class

BINDER - FOLDERS- PORTFOLIO-
– Worth 0 to 12 points (12 points total)

  • You will receive a binder for organizational materials
  • Table of contents REQUIRED

As a future certified educator it is important to be well organized. Therefore, keep and organize all paper items: syllabus, schedule and all other handouts, notes on all projects and procedures as well as readings, “special art finds,” internet resources, returned papers and other paper information. “Special art finds” refers to any theoretical or practical articles you locate about elementary art teaching. BE ORGANIZED – CATEGORIZED – DIGITAL

  • You will receive a vinyl folder for written work that is being handed in (not e-mailed)
  • You will receive a portfolio from Race Office Supply, Oshkosh to keep your 2-dimensional work (completed projects, work-in-progress, extra projects and experiments.)
  • Three-dimensional artwork will be returned after critiques. (NOTE: optional storage unit to be discussed)
  • You responsible for setting up all of your work in a display, creating a rubric for assessments and keeping your work for your future student teaching and teaching career.

Your name + Art 202 are written on artwork back
Binder and portfolio will be displayed at evaluation May 1
